Tom Croghan, MD

Tom Croghan has decided to increase the time he spends performing jazz and is thus available for a a variety of bookings. These include playing for concerts, parties, dances, wedding receptions, etc. He also continues to produce special performances including programs featuring the music of celebrated musicians e.sg. Gershwin, Ellington, Cole Porter, Antonia Carlos Jobim, etc.

While he can perform as a soloist in concert or casual settings, he also enjoys playing with other jazz musicians, ranging from those of national stature, local experiences players, as well as with some of his outstanding students.

Duos would commonly feature piano and sax, vocals, trumpet or bass.
Beyond that he frequently plays with up to seven other musicians, using saxes, trumpets, trombones, bass, guitar and/or drums.

The usual repetoire is that of most main stream jazz musicians, so called jazz standards. With sufficient time he can accomodate special requests, particularly if he is given a recording, written music or a "lead sheet". The fee for arranging a program of new arrangements is negotiable and should largely reflect the time necessary to produce the arrangements.
